Drills
Gühring and WIDIA carbide, HSS and through-coolant drills and modular drilling solutions for many diameters and depths.
Home / Drills

Drilling is the most repeated operation in machining: a single part may have dozens of holes, and a few seconds on each add up to hours in series production.
Gühring is one of the world’s leading names in holemaking. Mentor Mühendislik is the authorized Gühring and WIDIA distributor in Adana. We supply carbide, HSS and through-coolant drills together with spot drills, reamers and countersinks so the hole is machined right from start to finish.
- Gühring and WIDIA carbide, HSS and through-coolant drills
- Short, medium and deep hole lengths
- Complete holemaking with spot drills, countersinks and reamers
- Cutting data recommendations that cut cycle time
Types of Drills
Carbide Drills
High speed and feed for short cycle times in series production.
HSS and HSS-E Drills
For machines with limited rigidity, one-off parts and economical jobs.
Through-Coolant Drills
Bring coolant to the tip and evacuate chips reliably in deep holes.
Long and Deep Hole Drills
Straight, precise holes many diameters deep.
Replaceable-Tip Drills
The body stays and only the carbide tip changes: a cost advantage in larger diameters.
Reamers and Countersinks
Complete the hole for tolerance, surface finish and chamfers.
Applications
- Hydraulic and pneumatic manifold holes
- Automotive supplier fastener holes
- Agricultural machinery flange and hub bores
- Mold cooling channels
- Shaft centre holes
- General machine building
Workpiece Materials
We offer suitable geometries and grades for every ISO material group.
- PSteel
- MStainless steel
- KCast iron
- NAluminium & non-ferrous
- SSuperalloys & titanium
- HHardened steel
How to Choose the Right Tool
Define the hole
Diameter, depth, tolerance, blind or through, and the surface finish required.
Check the machine
Is through-coolant available, at what pressure, and is spindle power sufficient?
Choose drill and cutting data
We set the geometry, coating and starting values for the material.
Trial and measure
We record hole size, finish and tool life to finalise the data.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why choose Gühring drills?
Gühring is an established German brand focused on drilling. Its wide size range, coating technology and holemaking-focused programme deliver consistent results in series production.
Aren’t carbide drills expensive?
The unit price is higher, but they run at much higher cutting data, so in most series production they lower the cost per hole. We can do the calculation with you.
What matters in deep hole drilling?
Use a through-coolant drill where possible, start with a short pilot hole and keep an eye on chip evacuation. Avoiding unnecessary peck cycles also shortens cycle time.
Can my drills be reground?
Carbide drills can be reused after regrinding with the correct geometry and recoating. Ask us about regrinding.
