Indexable Inserts
WIDIA indexable inserts in a range of coatings and geometries, selected by material group and operation.
Home / Indexable Inserts

Indexable inserts are the most frequently purchased consumable in machining. The right grade and geometry mean more parts per edge and fewer machine stoppages.
Mentor Mühendislik supplies WIDIA turning, milling, grooving and drilling inserts in Adana, from stock and with fast delivery. We choose the right insert grade together for steel, stainless, cast iron, aluminium, superalloys and hardened materials.
- WIDIA turning, milling, grooving and drilling inserts
- An insert grade for every ISO material group
- Chipbreakers for roughing, medium and finishing
- Stock and planned supply for frequently used inserts
Types of Indexable Inserts
Negative Turning Inserts
Double-sided use and a strong edge for economical roughing and medium turning.
Positive Turning Inserts
Low cutting forces for thin parts, boring and finishing.
Milling Inserts
Multi-edge inserts for face, shoulder and high-feed milling bodies.
Grooving and Parting Inserts
Precise widths for grooving and parting.
Threading Inserts
Partial and full profile metric, inch and pipe thread inserts.
Wiper Inserts
A special edge that keeps surface finish good even at high feed.
Applications
- Series turning and milling
- Cast iron pump and agricultural parts
- Stainless food machinery parts

How to Choose the Right Tool
Identify the ISO code
Shape, size, thickness and nose radius are in the code; equivalents start here.
Choose the material group
Which of P, M, K, N, S, H you machine determines the grade.
Define the conditions
Continuous or interrupted? Roughing or finishing? Toughness and chipbreaker follow.
Plan stock
We keep your inserts in stock based on consumption to reduce downtime risk.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is an insert grade?
The grade defines the carbide substrate and coating. Hard grades resist wear, tough grades resist breakage. The choice depends on material group and cutting conditions.
Am I using all edges efficiently?
For even wear, keep a fixed change interval and remove conditions that cause breakage. A broken edge often damages the neighbouring edges as well.
We use another brand’s inserts. Can you suggest a WIDIA match?
Yes. Share the ISO code and workpiece material and we will recommend a suitable WIDIA insert and grade.
Do you keep inserts in stock?
For frequently used inserts we set up customer-specific stock and scheduled supply.
